Architect

Part 2 of the Register

Part 2 of the UK Register of Architects has been created for EEA architects who wish to practise in the United Kingdom on an occasional basis. This has been made possible by a piece of European legislation, the Professional Qualifications Directive 2005/36, otherwise known as the Qualifications Directive. This Directive allows architects from other European member states to provide temporary and occasional services in the UK, without becoming permanently established.

ARB’s register is the only statutory register of architects in the UK. Every Architect whose name appears on the register has met the relevant standards set by ARB for education, experience and practice, and has the legal right to use the title "Architect".
